I. Goals, strategies and integrated action plan


Goal 1: All classroom instruction will be based on reading best practices utilizing the territory’s content standards as the basis for curriculum.By the end of school year 2005-2006, students will demonstrate a 5% increase from SY 2004-2005 in the percent of students proficient in vocabulary, reading comprehension, interpretation, factual understanding, analysis, and summarizing on the ITED Stanford and SRI Tests.

Integrate technology in the classroom

On the survey of technology usage (WestEd) conducted in February, 2004, of 137 teachers, 42% reported they used a computer at school daily

The five most requested topics for professional development in technology were multimedia presentations, using student software, planning lessons that integrate technology, website design, and grading programs.

Two wireless labs were being utilized for classroom instruction; English wireless lab online; English lab expanded; onsite technology resource person hired.
