Computer Applications Exemption Exam

Attention Students!

If you have not yet taken a computer class and have excellent technology skills, you may be eligible to take an exam which will exempt you from taking Computer Applications. No credit will be given for the exam, which will be graded Pass/Fail. Please stop by my office in the Career Center or Media Center to pick up a study guide

Once you have looked over the study guide and understand what is expected on the exam, see me to arrange a time to take the exam. The test will take approximately 90-120 minutes. The first part of the exam will be an observation, where you will be asked to perform various tasks related to basic computer operations. Then, you will have time to complete 4 'mini-assignments' using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet Explorer. All students must have a valid email address to take the Exam.

I am available to answer any of your questions, please stop by!

After an easy win at CAHS, three technology students progressed to the finals at UVI where the competition was fierce. Gregory C. had the biggest fight against the private schools. His wonderfully prepared and presented PowerPoint on Music and Technology was defeated by the videos created by All Saints. Better luck next year Greg! Congratulations go out to two other Technology students, Monrique B. and Nicole F. Monrique took second place in the Individual Webpage competition and Nicole took third place for her work on the "Current Students" section of this site. Thanks and good job to all three competitors. CAHS is proud of you!
